Located in the municipality of La Spezia and managed by GNL Italia, the Panigaglia regasification plant is the first in Italy and has the function of receiving, storing and returning liquefied gas (LNG) to its original state.
The floating regasifier (Floating Storage and Regasification Unit) is a marine vessel that receives GLN at extremely low temperatures (-162 °C) from other methane tankers, regasifies it and finally introduces the gas into the national distribution network.
With an annual regasification capacity of 13.5 billion cubic metres, it represents one of the key infrastructures in the Italian energy landscape, reducing the vulnerability of supplies in a context characterized by precarious and variable energy dependencies.
The plant is equipped with advanced technologies that guarantee high safety standards and reduced environmental impact. Among the main innovations is the storage and regasification processes monitoring system, which allows timely intervention in the event of anomalies, as well as the use of technologies for heat recovery and the minimization of emissions into the atmosphere.
ABB Italia has chosen Bosco for the realization of the control center of the Panigallia LNG terminal, which will have to monitor the storage and regasification systems in real time and manage emergencies.
A large graduated console from the Tekno series accommodates up to 4 operators and is equipped with 5 curved displays for monitoring and data management. Another Tekno series linear console is positioned in the center of the room and is intended for supervision, with easy access to the operators' work. Both consoles are equipped with rack channels and cabinets under the work surface for ergonomic management of equipment and cable flows.
Inside the room, a workstation for utility and one for consultation via a whiteboard supplied by us have also been installed.
The final result is a high-performance control room thanks to the highest quality technical furnitures of the Tekno series which meet the most stringent ergonomic standards. The customer obtained optimal use of the available space, a good view for the supervisor, effective and comfortable communications between the operators.
