The Taranto Local Police has officially inaugurated the new Operations and Command Center, which stands out in Italy for the number of cameras present in the city, comparable only to that of the Palermo Local Police.
The new control room is equipped with cutting-edge video surveillance systems and emergency management softwares, as well as being connected to other institutions and police forces, creating an integrated communication system that allows a rapid and effective response to crisis situations.
The main objective of the control center is to increase the safety of citizens through constant monitoring of the territory, optimizing the response to emergencies, improving communication between entities, as well as collecting data for analysis and strategic planning.
Verbatel was the winner of the project for the new operations room and relied on our products and services to build a modern and advanced police center in Taranto.
Maximum technology and ergonomics, these are the salient features to obtain a safe and high-performance control room, with the aim of obtaining maximum efficiency for the operators.
To achieve this goal, a large graduated and modular control console of the 2000s series was chosen, completed by 8 55" monitors with arms that allow the inclination to be easily changed.
The large curved blue control console accommodates 5 operators and adapts perfectly to the dimensions of the room, occupying a central position. The consoles of this series, with clean and simple lines, are powerful ergonomic furniture engineered for mission-critical environments with 24/7 operations.
The graduated control console overlooks an imposing Videowall Series 1000Base , a sturdy and elegant 6x3 structure that houses 18 55” monitors.
Each video wall module is complete with push-out extraction brackets for the monitors and allows the accommodation of electronic equipment and computers in the lower cabinet.
Our video wall content management platform, V-Touch Bosco, has been implemented in the control stations to allow easy management and viewing of content on the videowall via our Wall Controller.
